AFCA Regional Battalion Chief Academy


The Arizona Fire Chiefs Association (AFCA) is happy to announce the 2017 AFCA Regional Battalion Chief Academy.  The BC Academy boasts a unique curriculum featuring numerous Chief Officers and leaders whose varied levels of expertise and experiences gives participants one of the most well rounded and diverse educational opportunities available in the current market.  

Some of the notables are retired Fire Chief Dennis Compton, retired Los Angles Battalion Chief and noted author John Mittendorf, and communication expert Chris Muldoon.

The eight sessions scheduled for this year's Academy are on the following dates:

Thursday, October 19th and Friday, October 20h

Wednesday, October 25th, Thursday, October 26th, and Friday, October 27th

Wednesday, November 1st, Thursday, November 2nd, and Friday, November 3rd

 All sessions will be held at the Avondale Fire and Rescue Administration 1825 N. 107th Avenue, Avondale, AZ 85323

The tuition fee for the Academy is $425 for AFCA members, $475 for non-members. The program is limited to 50 participants so early registration is STRONGLY recommended as the program typically fills quickly.. If you wish to attend, please send your information and payment (payable to: Arizona Fire Chiefs) Verde Valley Fire District 2700 E. Godard Rd., Cottonwood, AZ. 86326 by Tuesday October 10th.  Once your registration is received you will be provided with further information.
